—Confetti machine
2009
Wood, compressor, sensor, tubes, confetti
Box: 56 x 40 x 23 cm; electronic system: 20 x 40 x 14cm
When viewers trigger a sensor placed at the entrance, they suddenly find themselves standing in a colorful rain of confetti, falling into their hair and the room. Like an interlude with a clown with audience participation, the installation aims to surprise the viewer, who suddenly becomes part of the circus and their colorful hair decoration causes others to smile quietly.
—Cooking wagon
2009
Wood, steel, lamps, wok, gas burner, fog machine
263 x 264 x 87 cm
The artist emerges from behind his mobile kitchen in a dense cloud of smoke, lending magical aspects to the quotidian preparation of food in a performance. The prepared ingredients, the frying, the boiling and the sautéing are staged, thanks to the lighting and loudspeakers, sometimes dramatically, sometimes humorously and sometimes acrobatically, and the steaming dishes are distributed to courageous viewers in handy portions.
