Stage lamp and cardboard boxes
250 cm (height lamp) x 291 cm x 388 cm
Moving boxes are spread out flat on the floor, forming a rectangular surface on which a theatrical spotlight is focused. The stage is abandoned, yet the cardboard reveals traces of a past performance.
Does the title allude to a break dance, to the meaning of the stage as a venue for acrobatic attractions, or is it a challenge to the viewers to use the platform to break with the conventions of a museum and join in with a performance?
